cat’s-ears (Hypochaeris radicata and H. glabra)
Often confused with dandelions, cat’s-ears have branching flower stalks and less white latex sap. Dandelions have one flower on a more distinctly hollow stalk. Cat’s-ears leaves are hairier, and lobed rather than the dandelion’s more jagged appearance. In any case cat’s-ears leaves are edible, and not bad when young and fresh.
