Queen Anne’s lace is the name for the wild varieties of carrots. It does not form a large root but the leaves and seeds are edible. It can look somewhat similar to the poisonous hemlock, so be very very careful picking this one! There is another similar looking plant which is not so much a danger, but is sometimes also called Queen Anne’s Lace: Ammi majus, also. known as Bishop’s weed.
